Thirteen

Hey guys!
Happy Thursday?
As you all know tommorow is October 1st which is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! So that means all my manicures will be pink (or orange closer to halloween!)

Im in the process of doing my nails so Im just showing you what I did to my last manicure. My china glaze Spontaneous held up beautifully! no chips! (I did cut one of my nails and the polish came off on the edge)

I added a layer of glitter. What do you guys think? Which one did you like better- the mani with glitter or alone?

Twelve!

The polish that tied with San Fransisco was CG's Spontaneous.
Disclamer: I had not yet worn this polish.

That being said i was SHOCKED by how nice this polish is. Lately Ive been LOVING my china glaze as they last longer on me than opi.

I used 2 coats to get the true opaque color. Its close to Malia ( a color I now dont have to buy!)
Its an older china glaze so it has formaldehyde a smells a little but thats okay by me!

This polish is part of China Glaze's Flirt Two-2-Tango Collection. Its easy to apply and is a creme. Without a base I would bet this will stain your nails. This is the thickest CG polish I have bought but it is still easy to apply.

This color is slightly darker than Opi's A Grape Fit. It really is a gorgeous purple creme. This may just be my favorite purple (but i dont have many light purples like this)

I would recommend this polish if you love fun cremes and dont mind polishes that are a little thick. Ill update you guys about how long this mani lasts!

As a side note: My nails are all cleaned yet in the pictures they look so messy! UGH! Im trying for you guys!

Eleven!

So in the post yesterday I asked which nail polish to put on and the result was that it was a tie for Spontaneous from China Glaze and Sinful Color's San Fransisco.

My gut was telling me to use San. I hadnt worn it in a while and felt like it was as good as any to rock this shade.

The color is GORGEOUS but so thin and its such a bummer when you have to put on 3+ coats. This polish does not dry fast. I ended up ruining my mani on my left hand so I never got to painting my right. I took off the polish and decided to go with another. I had liked the idea of a forest green so I ended up using Ulta's Envy.

YOU MUST BUY THIS SHADE!

Ulta envy is a delicious super shiny green. It is opaque in just one coat and dries fairly quickly. This is the exact opposite of san fransisco. (san fransisco has a beautiful shimmer though)

What do you think?

Heres some pics/ swatches!

San Fransisco!

Ulta Envy!

Ulta Envy has quickly been added to my favorites list. The application is a DREAM!
Which one do you like better? San Fransisco or Envy?

Ten!

Im not sure If Im going to redo my nails today.

If I do which color do you want me to choose?
From L-R Sinful Colors San Fransisco, China Glaze Spontaneous, Orly Witches Blue, Sally Hansen Crimson Diamond.

How long do you guys keep a manicure? For me i keep it as long as I can before chipping is noticible. So usually 2-4 days depending on the polish. (Im hard on my nails)

I found this video and its just plain disturbing. I never get my nails done but every 6 weeks I get my toes done to clean my feet.

This video scared the heck out of me. Ive had those blades used on me. I get terrible calluses and it seems to do the trick. Im not going to use them again!

Nine!

Sorry no new polish today! (still wearing cherry crystals- no chips yet!) Instead Im going to show you some colors on my wishlist!

I am digging Opi's go goth collection! Esp. Obscurity- Matte. I dont actually have any matte polishes! Isnt that weird? Which one do you like? I love dark and vampy colors so I have similar polishes to the other three.

I went to ulta today and picked up this little haul:

From left to right:

Orly Perfectly Plum (only $3 before the coupon!)
NYC extra shiny top coat- mine ran out!
Ulta- Blue Streak
Ulta- Alter Ego
Ulta- Tutu Cute

I had a 3.50 off 10 coupon so I got all 5 for $7 with tax.

Even though my favorite color is lavender I had no light purples so I was estatic to get this beautiful purple for my collection.

Here is a picture of cherry crystals- more cleaned up now! sorry!

Today I did my toenails. I polished them with Right on by Claire's. The Claire's polish is REALLY GREAT. This is my only bottle but Im blown away. The color is a pink purple with shimmer and it was perfect after 2-3 coats. Drys quickly and the overall effect is great on its own, it doesnt need a topcoat. I got this in a nail box swap and I couldnt be happier.

Eight

China Glaze
Cherry Cryst
al

This is my first time using this color. Its on the older side but I recently bought this on the bay (for a very good price!) and was a little disappointed when I received the bottle. I did not think this polish was anything special at first but the application was great. 2 coats- not think nor thin- and no top coat! So nice! So easy!

What do you think?

I think the color is like a dusty pink, a little hint of purple but mainly a raspberry polish. It has a nice shimmer. The only problem is that this polish is the kind of color that has a lot of dupes. luckily I did not have one exactly the same, I did have one close though.

Essie- Rockstar Skinny

Let me start out by saying that I am intrigued by vampy colors. I never got into them but a couple months ago I found Orly's thorned rose in the clearance bin of my local ulta and bang- the love is kindled.

So when I participated in a nail polish exchange and found this wicked vampy brown-red I could not resist. I dont have that many essies but I have always been impressed with their wear.

The bottle and brush are pretty standard- neither perfect or impratical. They gets the job done. The color in this particular bottle is a little off- there is a visible silver shimmer which is hard to find on the nail. This took 2 easy coats which dried pretty fast

When you look at this picture of swatches you can see there is a shimmer but the main color is a brown-red. Its muddy. Its intresting. Its a great red for fall. I did not need to use a top coat for this particular polish. (YAY) I did apply my ulta base coat before putting it on though.

What colors do you want me to blog about?

Six

Hey guys! Happy Monday?
Today Im wearing China Glaze's Aztec Orange. Unfortunatly my bottle is destroyed (another polish leaked all over it) so for the bottle im just using the stock photo. My swatches were taken right after I painted so sorry for not getting them cleaned up.

This application is WONDERFUL. The color is very opaque and you only need 2 thin coats- 1 thick one would work- to get the job done. It dries a little dull so I would recommend using a top coat. The brush was easy to maneuver.

I really like this polish its an orange-red and its very flattering on most people. I would definitely advise one to pick up this shade if you dont have something like it.

Pro 10 Nail Care in Swoon

Let me start out by saying I am a complete bargain shopper. So when I saw nail polish at the dollar stores I thought I would give them a shot. I bought 2 packs of this brand which each product containing 2 bottles. I had never heard of this brand before and the brush was long and a good shape so I thought why not!

This specific color is called Swoon. Its like a brown red that in the shade looks like a muddy brown. Not my favorite. In the light and with flash I get this nice red color which I do like. The application was easy. I got my even presentation in just 2 coats. However it took forever for this polish to dry and when it did it was jelly- like which is weird because it is a bit of a metallic.

Bottom line is- this bottle was not perfection but it was an interesting color that stands out in my collection. The bottle was nice and easy to use and you just cant beat the price of 2 for a dollar.

The pictures were taken after 4 days of wear. So I think it stayed on pretty well.

Four!

China Glaze Blue Sparrow

This polish is beautiful but it gave me a lot of grief putting it on. Its sheer so this took 3 layers. That part wasnt that bad. It also dried like a lot of glitters- it was bumpy- so it needed a top coat. The part that really bothered me was that it chipped a lot in the first 24 hours! UGH That simply will not do! Its a beauty but its not for me.

Three!

Sinful Colors Let's Talk

I was inspired from a friend to go out and purchase this polish from walgreens and it was well worth my time. This is a beautiful purple whos only downfall is that its hard to photograph. this is a good picture of the color.

I added some nail art with L.A. Colors Nail Deco. I used to buy these from forever21 but now I get them from dollar stores :) Whooo!

The color went on great, it was ready in 2 coats and i did not need a top coat! I would definitely recommend this polish

Day two!

615 Night Before- A 60 Seconds nail polish from Rimmel

So Im posting a super sloppy manicure- sorry!- of 60 seconds by rimmel night before which is this gorgeous dark purple/ black with light purple sparkle undertone. Like the label says this polish drys super fast and is a dream to apply. Opaque in almost one coat this is a no brainer. In the dark it looks like a purple and only in the sun is the light purple specks prominent.

The true color is represented in the bottle.

First!

Hey guys, welcome to my blog!

This past year I have started to have an obsession with nail polish. Starting with one bottle my collection multiplied to over 75 in 6 months. From dollarstores to designer I have virtually every color I can think of. I am very anal about wearing chipped nails so I end up changing my manicure very often. I am very hard on my hands so a week is the maximum most polishes stay!

I am hoping to grow and have a manicure swatches at least 3 times a week.

I LOVE comments so please feel free! :)

First swatches are for Ulta Totally Hot!

I make such a mess when I polish so sorry for the stray bits!

Application on this polish was good! This is two coats, the color is a bright red with the smallest hint of orange in the flash. I have started to get into ulta polishes because I feel that they have great application and wear and this is no exception!
