Forty!

Happpy Halloween!

I hope all of you didnt get too crazy during mischeif night! :)

Today I have for you a manicure that is kind of related to halloween but just plain awesome. Its a drugstore cheap varnish and it rocks!

Its Wet n Wild's Night Prowl

This polish is gorgeous!

Wet n Wild is on sale this week at walgreens for 50% off so this stunner will be only 50 cents! who can beat that! I think Im going to stock up!
The first layer is thin but with a thick second or third this polish becomes even and opaque with no application hassle! It’s a black base with lots of purple glitter.

Thirty Nine!

Good mid morning!

I got the BEST package in the mail this week! I had been lemming for it forever! Its finally here!

Here it is, the best, constantly raved about:

ESSIE MATTE ABOUT YOU!

Ive always been a fan of matte, but I have no matte and a few plastic finishs. I have a huge polish collection and to get a topcoat that could double my collection in finishes!

So naturally I had to try it on right away!

I decided to use a new polish, Sally Hansen's extreme wear Emerald City.

Its a gorgeous emerald with tons and tons of shimmer enclosed in its .40 fl oz bottle. The cap is great and the brush is long and flat. This is how it looks without the matte top coat.

This is two coats.

Then I tried my essie matte about you.

The topcoat is AMAZING! It goes on and drys the polish so fast and then you have a beautiful soft silky matte topcoat. I am SO impressed. This works like a dream.

Pros:
Beautiful Matte Finish
Fast Drying Time
Doubles all your varnish, adding a new depth.

Cons:
Price- $10 (I ended up getting this on ebay for 5.50!)
I heard it chips faster than normal but since i am SO hard on my nails this isnt a dealbreaker.

For me the pros DEFINITELY outway the cons!

Happy Friday!

Today is the dress-up day for me this halloween. Im going to a party as Peggy from Mad Men.

I have a konad manicure today! Whooo!

I used Sally Hansen's Celeb City as a the nail polish base. Its a SUPER silver. it looks like a disco ball! Whoo! its really shiny and a true foil. I then konad-ed a design in my konad red color.

Thats it for now! I might post again later. Check out my giveaway if you havent yet!

Thirty Seven!

Good Morning!

If you have not yet, check out my GIVEAWAY.

Today Im wearing one of my more non-traditional colors. Its not a pink red or taupe, its a grey. The name to be exact is Gunmetal and its part of the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear collection.

The application was great. The brush is flat and long which I like. The formula is very opaque so it needs only two coats and the shine is present so it does not need a topcoat.

The color is a gorgeous gray gunmetal shimmer. It looks like a smoky gray but it has a nice blue shimmer. Its kind of like a charcoal color.

I dont wear my nails for very long but this line actually wears! not much chipping! I would recommend this polish. I bought it like the others from ulta.

Thirty Six!

Good morning! I cant believe I hit 125 followers in 35 posts! Whooo!

If you have not checked out MY GIVEAWAY yet, please do so!

Today I am wearing another Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Polish
Caribbean Coral

This is a superbright almost neon coral with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer is totally unexpected as it looks like it would be a creme.

The brush is great on the varnish but the formula is a tad thick. Thats actually my only complaint with most of this line. One thing you cant say about these polishes is that they are not opaque. These colors only need 2 coats, some even 1. Sally really knows her pigment!

I think seasonally Im a little off as this is a summer/spring polish and Im wearing it now when its raining and cold!

I got the same deal on this as with the plum power so It was very reasonably priced. thanks ulta!

The color is accurate but its hard to capture a neon like shade so imagine this to be super bright!

Thirty- Five!

Good Morning!

If you havent checked out MY GIVEAWAY please do so!

Over the weekend I went to ulta because I had a $5 off $10 coupon! Whoo!
I ended up buying 7 sally hansen Xtreme wear polishes as they were already on sale $3 for 2. On polish, emerald city, was on clearance for a buck.

The first polish from that little haul is Plum Power

Plum power takes 2 thick coats or 3 thin coats to apply. The color is nice and opaque once on and does need a top coat to shine. I like this color. Its very wearable but I cant say its terrible unique. This is definetly a polish with a shimmer and when I took photos it almost looked like it had a blue undertone. This is just a really nice plum thats fun to wear.

What do you guys think? With all my coupons this came out to be like .75 cents. I think it was worth it!

Thirty- Four!

Good morning beautiful people!

If you havent checked out MY GIVEAWAY yet please do!

Todays post is going to be short and sweet. I first want to say thank you to all my followers. I LOVE YOU ALL! I hope my blog continues to grow and I really appreciate the dedication of many of you!

Today Im wearing hot topic's iridescent pink. This is a bright pink with crazy shimmer. I paired it with silver stripes.

This color takes 2-3 coats. IT does not need a topcoat but because of the nail art I put one on. Its super pretty and girly so its a bit of a shock it comes from hot topic!

These polishes run for about $2 but the bottle is soo bad. The colors are smashing but the cap is just terrible to hold on to. If hot topic bought new caps I would have the whole collection by now! The colors are so nice for mall polish!

Thirty- Three

Hey guys!

I posted this morning but I have another post now! whoo!

If you havent checked out MY GIVEAWAY please do so!

I swatched Funky Finger's Power Play today.
The pictures are not color accurate enough. The actual color is a neon pink purple that cameras just cannot capture.

It was good in 2 thick coats or 3 thin coats. This had the worst review so I was a little scared about applying it. I like it! I dont love it but its fits the bill!
Its a really fun color but it would be great for summer more than winter.
The polish dried matte so I put a top coat on it!
Because of the color is so hard to photograph it looks as though its a jelly and a uneven two-toned one at that (which its not!)

what do you think?

^that is the most color accurate

Then I redid a franken. I tossed my purple one and started over. I did not do the best job cleaning out the bottle so alot of the glitter stayed in it.

I love this one!

I think a good name for it is "Stormy Galaxy"!

This took two coats and then it was perfect! Its a cloudy grey with different glitters in it.

Sorry for the pic spam! This is my baby! I love it!
What do you think? Do you like my name for it?
Would you spend money for this shade?

Thirty- Two!

Hey all! Good Morning!

If you havent yet check out MY GIVEAWAY!

Speaking of Giveaways I won the Daily-Nail's Sally Hansen Treatment giveaway
Im so excited! I cant wait to recieve these and try them out! I need a new base and top coat and my nails have been pealing alot! wow im excited!

Yesterday I got a package in the mail. I had recently won a bid on ebay for a nubar polish called Mystic Romance for only $2 with shipping. This would be my first nubar so I was excited! The color itself was a nude, a shade I dont own any of, and I just prayed it would work for me.

Well here it is:

The bottle looked so small! I could not believe it. As far as handles go I liked this one, orly is still my favorite but I prefer this to alot of other brands.

I immediately took off alter ego to try this out

I understand why nubar polishes are so popular. The formula was great, dried pretty fast and was really easy to apply.

Unfortunatly this shade just does not look good on me. I am dissapointed but not shocked. Its hard to pick a nude polish on the internet. This is going in my swap pile. Oh well.

Im at least glad I tried nubar polishes! (Now I know I like them!)
I then went with a friend to five below only to pick up some funky finger polishes. I had seen this brand before but had never purchased a polish from them. The store was selling them for 3 for $5. A good price I should say!

My small haul:

From left to right: Bizerk Turq, Power Play, and Chesire
These colors are GREAT! Power Play is like a neon pink/purple and the other two are equally bright! Cant wait to swatch these!
