Yesterday I got a package in the mail. I had recently won a bid on ebay for a nubar polish called Mystic Romance for only $2 with shipping. This would be my first nubar so I was excited! The color itself was a nude, a shade I dont own any of, and I just prayed it would work for me.
Well here it is:
The bottle looked so small! I could not believe it. As far as handles go I liked this one, orly is still my favorite but I prefer this to alot of other brands.
I immediately took off alter ego to try this out
I understand why nubar polishes are so popular. The formula was great, dried pretty fast and was really easy to apply.
Unfortunatly this shade just does not look good on me. I am dissapointed but not shocked. Its hard to pick a nude polish on the internet. This is going in my swap pile. Oh well.
Im at least glad I tried nubar polishes! (Now I know I like them!)
I then went with a friend to five below only to pick up some funky finger polishes. I had seen this brand before but had never purchased a polish from them. The store was selling them for 3 for $5. A good price I should say!

From left to right: Bizerk Turq, Power Play, and Chesire
These colors are GREAT! Power Play is like a neon pink/purple and the other two are equally bright! Cant wait to swatch these!
your new nail polishes looks just awesome! such gorgeous colors! also the Nubar one is sooo adorable nail polish. love this kind of neutral colors!

ReplyDeleteYou could try the nubar one on top of white polish or you could add it a glittery top coat.It's too cute to give up on it!

I still need to try Nubar as well. Those funky finger polishes look so pretty! Can't wait to see swatches!
ReplyDeleteI really love the Nubar...but that's not a surprise...I like nudes (I know boring!). I also love the funky fingers colors, but they make me want summer and I can't afford to feel that way until February at the earliest!!!
