Ugh! This week has been taking forever and its only Tuesday! I took out one of my new polishes from the sallys super haul!
Voila! Orly's Purple Pleather
What a terrible name; Purple Pleather. It just sounds bad. Pleather just makes me think of tacky one suits. Not exactly the first thing that I want to come into mind when painting my nails.
Anyway this took 2 coats. Granted at least 1 of the coats were thick. I liked that I knew when the polish dried becuase of the finish, I didnt have to worry about waiting then thinking it was dry when it wasnt. The color was opaque quick! Its such a nice purple- like china glaze grape pop.
The plastic bottle is kind of cool but its hard to photograph. Also my nail still is tiny and it hurts! I hate my current little nails! It also hurts when I use nail polish remover so I didnt even bother cleaning up that finger.
I would reccomend this bottle if you like to experiment with your polishes. I dont actually have any matte polishes but I want some! Now I have three of these satin- plastic like finishes. I love the uniqueness of these, they end up being SO soft! You could always use a top coat but personally I think that it would ruin the beauty of these. Well done Orly! You made an easy applicating polish that stands out in a good way in my polish collection!
It will be interesting to see if I love this whole collection or just this one!

ReplyDeleteI still cannot believe that this was only a buck. What a great deal and its a really different shade. Im not sure this finish is for me however.

ReplyDeleteThe Plastix collection didn't sell well around here. Out of the group, I think I like this color the best. I don't care for the whole matte/plastic finish, but it looks cute on you.

ReplyDeleteI loved the entire Plastix collection! I feel like matte cremes just make my fingers look greasy, so I LOVE the satin finish. I can't wait to see what you think of the rest!

ReplyDeleteYours is lovely too! I loved this finish on this colour! I also don't have a lot of mattes I love the suede one I got, OPI's Russian Navy Suede! I recommend it! I posted about it a while ago.
Beautiful color, I love purples! :) They should change the name though, it does sound bad!
