Eighty Six-Review Hard Candy Polish!

Its Chirstmas Eve!
So for your present Im going to give you an awesome review
Dont forget to check out MY GIVEAWAY!
I recently got Hard Candy Nail Polish in Sweet P.
Its part of Hard Candy's Just Nails with Ring line
Heres what Hard Candy wants to say about their Nail Polish:
The focus is on color! Put the final touch on fingertips and toes with a top-quality formula. The long-lasting, chip-resistant polish ensure flawless results with each application, and is DBP, toluene and formaldehyde free.

I have always thought of Hard Candy as a great cosmetic brand and I have to say I was surprised when I saw them in walmart. These nail polishes retail for $5 and come with a cute little ring! Since I got the green glitter I got the green heart, I love that idea of the ring as a extra with your purchase.

Sweet P is a bright green glitter. Its not for the girl who is conservative with her nails, this baby is a showstopper! This green gets someone noticed, If you like your nails to get attention you'll love Sweet P.

Formula:
  •  The first coat goes on sparse.
  •  The second coat denses the nail up and you start to see Sweet P's charm
  •  The third coat is what really brings this polish to life.
  •  Sweet P is just like a glitter you need to build up the color and once you have it, which takes three coats for this polish, you have one outstanding manicure.
  •  The glitter dries with texture so If you like your smooth nail you should add topcoat. I will warn you though this baby shines without topcoat and will REALLY shine with it!
  • The wear is great for a glitter!
The Bottle:
  • The Quality of the brush and polish is superb.
  • The brush rivals Essie, It handle is the same height but a tad bit thinner. The actual brush is a bit wider than Essie which is good for me because I find Essie to be on the thinner side
  • Comes with .35 oz of product and this bottle is very easy to store and looks cute! The name is on the back above the ingredients.
Pros of Sweet P:
  • Killer Color! Its just stunning and fun!
  • Great Formula and excellent quality!
  • Fun Packaging and easy to use brush!
  • Goes on like a designer polish for only $5!
The only Con:
  • The only thing I can say that is bad about this polish is that the color is not for everyone and some people dont like gritty glitters!
My Final Thoughts:
I was WOWed by the quality of this nail polish. I really cant believe it retails for only $5. The application and brush rivaled those of lacquers much more expensive. The color itself is unusual and awesome. It really is very chip resistant which is a huge plus. I was very pleased with this polish and would recommend it definitely.

For $5, you can afford to buy more than one. Sold exclusively at Walmart stores and online.

Eighty Five

Happy Thursday! Hope all is well
If you have not yet, and please do, check out my GIVEAWAY!

A couple days ago I tried making a cranberry orange tea bread and It just didnt work out :( Anyone have a good recipe? Or an easy favorite? Im into baking right now!
The flavors were great but it was just too doughy

I was looking at my collection and deciding what items I never use and might want tos wap and the one  that popped out was China Glaze Blue Sparrow. I actually swatched it for my Fourth post  and as pretty as it was I just hated the wear. I hoped now that I have a different base and topcoat that would not be a problem.

 Its so Beautiful!

I was in awe of the color its just stunning in person. It is a bit gritty and needs a top coat for sure but otherwise the application was fine. This took two coats to get this glitter opaque. Drying time was fast.

Wear was horrible. I got chipped less than 4 hours after applying. And by the next day a whole finger sized lacquer chip fell off. This is not ok. As pretty as Blue Sparrow is my bottle is awful and Im looking to swap it.

Speaking of swaps you might have seen a small little box on my sidebar titled "Discarded" Im looking to swap for your unwanted polishes! Want to arrange a swap with me? please leave your email in a comment and I will get back to you! Im always trying to swap with bloggers!

Eighty Four

Hello Sunshine!
Check out MY GIVEAWAY

I think today will be a good day! I dont have much a plan besides getting work done but I do know Im going to stop by Ulta! Speaking of Ulta I recently bought the Ulta Holi-Daze Mini Collection. I had a $5 off ten and they were on sale for $7 so I got 2 for $9 after the sale! One for me one for my sister.

The collection included All the Berry Best, Gift of Gold, Plum Full of Cheer, and a Rapidry Top Coat. I was most excited to try the purple, of course, and applied it first.

The color is GORGEOUS and super hard to photogrpah

The bottle is tiny (1/8 fl) but the color rocks! Its a pretty purple plum that I find to be flattering on almost everyone. Its definetly a shimmer which I love.

Application was great. This color required two coats. I also used a topcoat (actually I tried the OPI one) The only problem I have with this polish is the wear. It definetly chipped more than I hoped it would but I forgot to put on my basecoat. Im going to try this one with a basecoat next time to see if it helps.

I love love love the way this color looks on me. I wouldnt necessarily say this is a holiday color but it is beautiful for the winter months.

I love these mini bottles. There is no way I can even finish a regular size bottle so now I can use these up and not feel bad.

Eighty Two

Hello everyone
Happy Monday, doesnt the weekend go fast!

As a nail polish blogger I end up changing my polish almost every day. Its rare for me to keep on a color for longer then 3 days. Last week I actually wore the same color from Saturday to Friday- a rare occurrence for me!
I was wearing Essie Mint Candy Apple.

When I first started nail blogging Mint Candy Apple was the polish I was most seeking. I wanted it so bad, every swatch just made my mouth water. It was the color for me. I couldnt find it anywhere. I participated in a nail polish swap and ended up with Revlon Minted and China Glaze Refresh Mint. I ended up loving Refresh Mint and hating Minted but I still wanted to try Mint Candy Apple. So I talked to a very nice blogger kittypolishnbags and ended up doing a swap with her and I finally was able to get my Mint Candy Apple.

Fast forward about 3 months and I still had not worn the shade that took me so long to find. So when I was decided what to apply and noticed I hadn't really tried it out I decided I wanted to finally see if it was as great as I hoped.

It is. Its spectacular and one of my favorite polishes.
I am a huge fan of Mint in general and this polish just makes me squeal of delight thinking about all my favorite mint treats! I found out that people who dont like mint dont find this color that appealing but I do!

Application was fine. The first coat is a bit uneven but the second coat really evens this polish out and makes it look awesome. Wear is FANTASTIC! The pictures were taken on the 4th day and I didn't have a chip until the 5th. I am very hard on my nails so this is a feat! The essie brush is great if not on the smaller side. The polish is a bit thick but comes off easily and you just cant beat the wear. I would definetly reccomend this to any mint lover.

Eighty One- Milani Nail Art Review

Good morning beautiful people.
If you have not yet checked out my giveaway click here
Today I am doing a review on Milani Nail Art Lacquer

What Milani Says:
"Nail art allows you to do your very own custom nail designs. A high quality precision striping brush allows for detail work, creating the perfect French tip that makes nail art fast and easy. Your nails are your canvas and you are the artist."

From left to right: Black Sketch, Purple Outline, and Yellow Design

About the bottles:
  • I love how these nail art polishes look like real lacquers because Im used to my nail art bottles standing out for being much slimmer than the rest.
  • The brush is IDEAL! Im so excited this is such a skinny brush- its perfection when it comes to making lines and designs
  • The handle is easy to hold so it wont be a problem to have to be super steady making your design.
  • This line of Milani polishes comes in lots of gorgeous shades so you can really make your nails a masterpiece.
  • The formula is really great for a nail art polish; it dries really fast!
  •  DBP, toluene & formaldehyde free
I wanted to try these out on a black base, colored base and white base

Black Sketch
  • Every nail polish fanatic should have a black Nail Art polish. Black Nail art is so useful and adds a bit of pazazz to virtually every color except black.
  • I was very impressed with Milani's Black Sketch. The formula was excellent and the brush was thin and easy to hold.
  • This dried very fast. Something that not all nail art does, so Im very excited to have this in my collection.
 Purple Outline
  • This glitter is gorgeous. Its stunning but I was scared to apply it to my nails. Glitter is not always the easiest when it comes to nail art.
  • I was thrilled to see that the purple glitter showed up on the purple base and the black base. I knew the black base was going to be a challenge but you can clearly see its pretty purple line.
  • The formula was good but a tad on the thinner side. You need to do two strokes with this one.
Yellow Design
  • This is the polish I was most dreading. In my experience yellow nail art polishes have been terrible. They barely show up if your not wearing a white or natural base and as I almost always wear bright colors this is a problem.
  • Milani did an AMAZING  job with this yellow Nail Lacquer. The color shows up on all three bases including the black. WOW.
  • The formula was excellent and the color is very opaque.

Final Thoughts on Milnai Nail Lacquer

I was pleasently surprised by how much I loved these three nail art polishes. The brush is perfect and allows anybody to create stable and exquisite designs. The colors are very opaque which is wonderful so that a light color like the yellow can be seen on a black base. The black polish is the most practical but the glitter and orange allow a user to get very creative! These polishes are easy to use and dry fast which is all I could hope for in nail art. I am very satisfied with these and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't already have nail art polishes or who would want colorful designs.

You can buy Milani Cosmetics at drugstores, superstores or even on their website. These retail for $4 and come in a varray of colors.

Seventy Nine

Good morning!
Hope all is well and you all have a lovely friday and weekend.
I was lucky enough to be gifted Perplex, I was so happy. I really wanted it!

I thought it looked so chic! Its a grey with a purple shimmer. Its a dupe of Chanel Paradoxal. I have a couple Revlon polishes. I love some and hate some so I was worried about this one.

The application was good for revlon and fine compared to my other polishes. It took two coats to get the desired look but the drying time was a bit long. I used a topcoat to get extra shine. I dont mind revlon's brush or bottle so thats not a big deal to me. Im glad I finally was aple to get a hold on this shade!
